Gynecomastia: removing emasculated breasts in men
Due to genetic or hormonal differences the development of emasculated breasts and nipples is possible in men.
As a considerable part of the breasts is usually fat, the removal of excess fat leads to a satisfactory result in 50% of the cases. In other cases glandular tissues form a considerable part of the breasts and the surgical removal of glands may be required.
Surgery is usually performed under general anesthesia. Stitches are usually removed after two weeks. Bandages are to be worn for 3-4 weeks.
